His death did not immediately cause widespread rebellion; the Free Jaffa Nation's major uprising came later, and the power structure remained intact under other System Lords, fundamentally changing the political landscape of the galaxy only gradually.

The air in the command center was thick with tension as the massive mothership loomed above Earth's atmosphere, its shadow blotting out the sun. Inside the bridge of the O'Neill-class vessel, the crew worked frantically to align their weapons systems against a target that had once been considered invincible.
